Position Summary
The Director of Development and Community Engagement (DDCE) will drive fundraising and volunteer efforts, fostering relationships with donors, volunteers and corporations. The DDCE will be engaged in individual and corporate major gift work while directing all aspects of the Arkansas Foodbank’s special events, cause-related marketing, third-party events, volunteer and corporate giving program. This includes securing major gifts, corporate funding, special events sponsorships, and in-kind gifts to further the mission of the Arkansas Foodbank.

The Director of Development and Community Engagement (DDCE) is a vital member of the Development department and collaborates with them to support the implementation of new strategies, programs or initiatives. This position will be comfortable learning new technology, as well as an eagerness to utilize Arkansas Foodbank software systems. They will possess strong interpersonal skills, a spirit of collaboration and team work, and a commitment to hunger relief.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, hand controls; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing duties of this job, the employee regularly is exposed to wet or humid conditions; extreme cold or heat; and general outside weather conditions.

Salary $75K-$85K
